On Sept. 29, a Duquesne University crime alert email informed students of a reported sexual assault that occurred on campus over the night of Sept. 28.

A female Duquesne student walked into the Duquesne University police station on Sept. 29 at 4:26 p.m. to report the alleged assault, according to the email. The alert also said that the assault occurred in a university residence hall and the alleged perpetrator is a male Duquesne student whom the victim knows.

The email said that the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Sex Assault Unit will handle the investigation. This is the second reported sexual assault involving a Duquesne student this year. The other, occurring on Sept. 3, has yet to be publicly resolved.
