Denver quarterback Trevor Siemian threw for 376 yards and a touchdown, but the Broncos fell to the New York Giants 23-10 on Sunday, Oct. 15. Giants running back Orleans Darkwa rushed for 117 yards, while tight end Evan Engram added a touchdown and 82 receiving yards on the day.

The victory is New York’s first on the season, and, despite hoping to keep her losing streak alive, layout editor Hallie Lauer also collected her first win. However, it wasn’t all Ws for the staff as news editor Raymond Arke broke his perfect record with the Denver loss.

Next up, Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons take on Tom Brady and the defending champion New England Patriots in a Super Bowl LI rematch for Sunday Night Football. Check below for the staff’s expert — and not-so-expert — predictions for the game.

Week 6: Atlanta Falcons (3-2-0) vs. New England Patriots (4-2-0)

Leah Devorak 0-5 (Editor-In-Chief): Patriots

“They always win … right?”

Raymond Arke 4-1  (News Editor): Patriots

“The bad guys  always win now, so…”

Shivani Gosai 3-2 (Opinions Editor): Patriots

“I don’t like birds.”

Zach Landau 1-4 (A&E Editor): Patriots

“I have too much family in New England to not go with the Patriots.”

Ollie Gratzinger 2-3 (Features Editor): Falcons

“The Patriots had Deflategate, and cheaters never win.”
Hallie Lauer 1-4 (Layout Editor): Falcons

“I always like to root for the underdog.”

Adam Lindner 2-3 (Sports Editor): Patriots

“I’m 2-3, so I need to go with the favorites for a few weeks before I start making bold picks again. Since it’s in Foxborough and New England has been struggling, I think they’ll have a strong showing.”

Kailey Love 3-2 (Photo Editor): Patriots

“In spite of Deflategate, they always win. So if I don’t pick them, I feel like it would be a silly move. I don’t know; I don’t sport.”

Bryanna McDermott 3-2 (Asst. Photo Editor): Patriots

“Once again, I saw Tom Brady on Saturday Night Live in like 2005 and was kind of impressed.”
