Police issue arrest warrant for man who threatened DU student

Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Brandon M. Sorg, of 615 1st St, Verona, PA. Sorg is charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment toward the Duquesne student, who had dated Sorg in the past.

Police are looking for a man who threatened a Duquesne student on Thursday.

According to mass email sent across campus by Duquesne Public Safety, a man not affiliated with the university threatened a student. The email did not say where the threats occurred or what the nature of the threat was.

The suspect is a 20 year-old white male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has dark brown hair, hazel eyes and a thin mustache.

The suspect vehicle is a black Lincoln MKZ with tinted windows, black rims, a black grill and a Pennsylvania license plate. Police said the suspect might also be driving a maroon Ford Taurus with a Georgia plate

Police are preparing charges against the suspect. Public Safety said not to approach the suspect — if seen, individuals should contact Duquesne Police at 412.396.2677.
