Services available to grieving students

With the shock of the past day’s events, we wanted to remind students and the larger Duquesne community of the opportunities available to them.

The Counseling and Wellbeing Center, located in 636 Fisher Hall, has counselors available. They can be reached at 412-396-6204. The center offers group therapy sessions on Tuesdays from 3:30 pm to 5pm or Wednesdays from 5pm to 6:30 pm. If a student is interested in joining, they must first contact a group leader at 412-396-6204 of visit the Fisher Hall office.

Campus Ministry is also open to those who need to talk. That office can be contacted at 412-396-6020.

The Towers Multipurpose Room is also hosting counseling services on 10/05.

The ReSolve Crisis, a 24-hour mental health help hotline is also an option. Their number is 1-888-796-8226.

Additionally, don’t be afraid to reach out to trusted friends and family to discuss what you’re going through.
