Police Briefs

One of Uncle PB’s all-time favorite movies is Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, which follows Pee-wee Herman on a journey to find his stolen bike. PB remembers taking his kids to the movie theater to see it, back when popcorn was $1 a bucket and there weren’t a dozen Coke commercials beforehand.

Regardless, someone decided to channel their inner Pee-wee this week in the police report. On Sunday, someone reported their bicycle seat (yes, just the seat) stolen in Duquesne Square. The case is active.

The rest of this week’s crimes went as usual. Last Wednesday, a student reported being harassed by inappropriate Facebook messages. That evening, an administrative search of a room in Vickroy revealed a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.

An intoxicated student in St. Martin Hall was escorted to his room, with requested assistance, by an RD early Saturday morning. The debauchery continued in the following hours, as two underage intoxicated students were transported into the Emergency Room at UPMC Mercy.

Finally, on Sunday morning at around 2:30 a.m., a highly intoxicated female in Brottier was transported to Mercy ER for treatment.
