Pharmacy school connects with Japan

The Mylan School of Pharmacy and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences signed a five-year agreement with the Daiichi University of Pharmacy in Fukoka, Japan for academic collaboration and exchange.

Professor receives grant for research

Jana Patton-Vogt, biochemist and associate professor of biology in the Bayer School of Natural Environmental Sciences, received a $304,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health to assist her research on cell metabolism.

Patton-Vogt’s work with cell membranes could reveal more information about diseases such as obesity, diabetes and cancer.
